1. Role of the Hypernode
Hypernodes are top-tier validators (or dual-chain validators) that simultaneously support:
- a full node Layer1a (ZHCash Public Chain);
- a full validator node Layer1b (ZHChain Evolution Network, EVN).
They are:
- backbone points of the ZHChain hypernetwork;
- participants in the ZHC → EVN bridge protocol;
- primary recipients of IPoS rewards.
1.1 Terminology:
Hypernodes are top-tier validators (or dual-chain validators) that simultaneously support:
Layer1a (ZHCash) — public network, where they act as validators/supernodes.
Layer1b (EVN) — enterprise network, where they are IBFT validators.
That is:
- Regular L1a validators — work only in ZHCash.
- Regular L1b validators — work only in EVN.
- Hypernodes — work in both networks simultaneously, an enhanced role with higher requirements (20M ZHC + 50M EVN) and additional rewards (IPoS pool).
2. Technical Requirements
2.1 Infrastructure
Dedicated or cloud servers for each network (can be on the same physical host, but with container isolation):
- ZHCash node (full node + validator/supernode under L1a rules)
- Polygon Edge validator (EVN) with IBFT
- Docker/Docker Compose support (for deployment scripts)
2.2 SLA and Availability
- Target uptime: ≥ 95–98%
- Mandatory monitoring stack (Prometheus + Grafana) and alerts
- Node updates in maintenance windows agreed with the network
2.3 Security
- Store validator private keys in a secure environment (HSM/secure containers/isolated disks)
- Firewall configuration: open only necessary ports (JSON‑RPC if needed, P2P, SSH with restricted access)
3. Economic Requirements
3.1 Stakes
Minimum stakes are determined by governance and may change, but the baseline idea is:
- Stake in ZHC (Layer1a): the hypernode must hold at least
Stake_ZHC_min(20 000 000 ZHC). - This stake can be in staking/supernode L1a.
- Stake in EVN (Layer1b): the hypernode must hold at least
Stake_EVN_min(50 000 000 EVN). - Part of this stake can be used in the PoS mechanism (collateral).
3.2 Hypernode Income
- IPoS reward pool (22 billion EVN): distributed proportionally to stake and/or the number of serviced roles (validator nodes, bridges, RPC nodes).
- Share in PoS/DPoS (optional): a hypernode can also be a staker/delegator and earn income as a regular participant.
- Bridge fees ZHC → EVN (if participating as an operator): part of the bridge fee can be directed to hypernode validators.
4. Participation in Governance
Hypernodes have an elevated role in EVN governance:
- voting weight may depend on the combination of
stake_ZHC + stake_EVN - key decisions (bridge parameters, reward pool changes, protocol upgrades) require a hypernode quorum
- if rules are violated, a hypernode can be excluded and partially slashed
5. Behavior and Responsibility
Hypernodes commit to:
- keep both nodes up to date and follow security recommendations
- not participate in attacks on the network (double-signing, transaction censorship, etc.)
- respond to incidents (network degradation, forks) within approved procedures
For serious violations, possible outcomes include:
- disabling the EVN validator via voting
- slashing part of
stake_EVNand/orstake_ZHC - loss of access to the IPoS reward pool
6. Summary for Hypernode Candidates
To become a hypernode, a participant needs to:
- have the required stake in ZHC and EVN
- deploy and maintain stable ZHCash and EVN nodes using the provided scripts
- pass the registration procedure (on-chain) and, if necessary, off-chain verification/KYC
- maintain high uptime and follow security recommendations
- participate in governance and be ready to take responsibility for the role
A hypernode is not only a source of income but also a status participant of the ZHChain ecosystem, connecting the public and corporate parts of the network.
7. Offer for Hypernode Candidates
Why becoming a hypernode is beneficial
A hypernode is not just a validator, but a key participant in the ZHChain Hyper Network infrastructure, with multiple income streams and a strategic role in the ecosystem.
Hypernode income sources
L1a validator rewards (ZHCash):
- EPOCH_REWARD from consensus
- Transaction fees
- Share from supernode staking
L1b validator rewards (EVN):
- EPOCH_REWARD from IBFT consensus
- Share from the DPoS pool (12 billion EVN over 30 years)
- Corporate network transaction fees
Delegation rewards (IPoS):
- 5-20% commission from all delegators
- Access to the largest reward pool (22 billion EVN)
Bridge privileges ZHC ↔ EVN:
- Priority access to ZHC → EVN conversion
- Bridge operation fees
- Arbitrage opportunities (within reasonable limits)
Governance and strategic influence:
- Voting weight in decisions for both networks
- Participation in development fund allocation
- Access to early-stage projects in the ecosystem
Income example (illustrative)
Inputs:
- Stake ZHC: 20,000,000 ZHC
- Stake EVN: 50,000,000 EVN
- Delegations to the hypernode: 200,000,000 EVN
- Commission: 10%
- Block time: 3 sec
7.1 Strategic Advantages
Long-term perspective:
- 30-year reward distribution horizon
- Token value growth as the ecosystem expands
- Accumulation of reputation and influence
Exclusivity:
- Limited number of hypernodes
- High entry threshold reduces competition
- Early participants get the best terms
Diversification:
- Income in two tokens (ZHC + EVN)
- Work in two segments (public + enterprise)
- Multiple revenue streams
Infrastructure role:
- You become a backbone of the hypernetwork
- Access to partnerships with corporations/governments
- Ability to launch your own services on top of the network
7.2 Requirements and Risks
Minimum requirements:
- 20,000,000 ZHC (~cost depends on the market)
- Technical skills: Windows or Linux
- Server: 2-4 CPU, 4-8 GB RAM, 300 GB SSD, 1 Gbps
- 50,000,000 EVN (via ZHC→EVN conversion or premarket)
- Server: 4 CPU, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB SSD, 1 Gbps
- Technical skills: Linux, Docker, monitoring
7.3 Risks
- Slashing for incorrect operation (loss of part of stake)
- Technical failures and downtime reduce income
- Token market price changes
- Need for continuous monitoring and updates
7.4 How to Become a Hypernode
